Papertrey Posse Petite Challenge #1

Recently I joined up with a group of awesome ladies on the PTI forum and created a blog the blog group Papertrey Posse. Each month we have three challenges - 1 large group challenge and 2 "petite" challenges that help spark creativity. This month Jessica is our hostess and she came up with a great color challenge to start us off.

I was so excited to get to spend a majority of the day getting inky so I decided to take a stab at our challenge. This color combo was outside of my comfort zone - but I saw the Dearest Dad Design Team Challenge and I was inspired by Lisa Johnson's card she made for her husband.
I used the same layout, changed up the colors, and went to work. Overall I'm pretty pleased with this card.

Supplies
Stamps :: PTI - Background Basics: Woodgrain, Life, A Little Argyle, Round & Round, and Mega Mixed Messages

Ink :: PTI - Dark Chocolate, Terracotta Tile, Vintage Cream; VersaMark
Cardstock :: PTI - Kraft, Enchanted Evening, Summer Sunrise
Other :: PTI- Enchanted Evening Buttons; Hemp fiber- Michaels

I hope everyone had a good start to their weekend. Tomorrow my DH and I are volunteering at a event sponsored by the local VA Center called God Bless America. It's a large motorcycle ride that comes into town and raises money to help the veterans programs. It's always a lot of fun and extremely touching.

I love how you stamped "husband" in the circle on the first card, and the offset Mat Stack die! Both of these are great!

Lisa's card was very inspirational wasn't it. You did a great job recreating it to go along with the color challenge!
