PTI Blog Hop

It's been so long since I was able to participate in a PTI blog hop, but the inspiration picture this month was just too great not to play along.

The inspiration:

The first things that stuck out to me in photo were the colors and the bold, graphic patterns.

I decided to use the hexagon stamps from PTI's Rosie Posie set to convey the graphic feel. I added a sentiment from PTI's Movers & Shakers Sentiments. I love the font of this sentiment and it just truly feels happy.

Supplies:
Stamps: Rosie Posie, Movers & Shakers Sentiments (PTI)
Cardstock: Stampers Select White, Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold (PTI)
Ink: Bermuda, Buttercup, Slate (Amuse)

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

It's that time again...time for the PTI Blog Hop.

This month Nichole challenged us to use stamp sets that hadn't seen ink.

"With the new year comes a clean slate along with many resolutions.  This month's blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!  Go through your stash and see what little used treasure it might hold.  If you are in need of inspiration for your chosen set, feel free to utilize the gallery posted in the side bar of each set's sale page on our website, or go to the Previous Countdown page on Nichole's blog where each set is organized by month of release.  2011 is the year where what's old is new again!"

I'm still working with the sets I got for Christmas, so choosing a set wasn't that difficult.

I loved all the countdown projects done with Love Lives Here. The sentiments alone had me hooked, then the cute distressed images just pushed me over the edge. I also pulled out a new-to-me die to complete this card.

I'm pretty much smitten with this card - the first in a while that I want to hold onto instead of give away (although I think it's going to my hubby, so it won't be going far).

Thanks for stopping by!

September Blog Hop

I'm so excited to be able to play along with the blog hop this month, and with such a fun challenge :

"One of the most fun things about this hobby is the people you meet, whether in person or online, and the things you learn from them.  Now is your chance to show off any skills you might have learned from a fellow stamper, and perhaps even give them a little shout out to thank them for the inspiration they have provided.  Create a project using one of your favorite learned skills and perhaps after a little blog hopping, we will ALL learn some new tips and tricks and continue to pass on the love of this hobby!"

This challenge fits right in with a project I've been working on already - favors for the baby shower tea. (You can see the invites I did here.)

I got the idea and the template for these tea boxes from Michele (Derby). She did such a fantastic job with them I thought they would be the perfect!

Here's my take

You can't really tell in the pictures, but I embossed a circle with standard circle nesties and masked it before stamping the background.

I just love how these have turned out!

Supplies
Stamps :: PTI - Tea for Two, Favor It Baby, Polka Basics II

Ink :: PTI - Plum Pudding, Vintage Cream
Cardstock :: PTI - Kraft, Rustic Cream

Blog Hop and Petite Posse Challenge # 2

I'm so excited to share this card and to participate in my first PTI June Blog Hop

This month the challenge was COLOR. To pick our favorite color combo. For this challenge I used TRUE BLACK, HAWAIIAN SHORES, PURE POPPY, and STAMPER'S SELECT WHITE.

I also combined it with the currently Papertrey Posse Challenge - Fabulous Folds - to create a card using a unique folding method. I chose to use the Joy Fold and followed the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. (I apologize for the poor lighting on the photos.)

Supplies
Stamps :: PTI - Polka Dot Basics II, On My Couch

Ink :: PTI - True Black, Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy
Cardstock :: PTI - Stampers Select White, Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, True Black
Other :: PTI- Rickrack Die; Fiskars - Treading Water Punch; Nestabilities - Standard Circle

Thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
